InFocus Photo Deadline Today!

Deadlines are motivating! Deadlines help us stay focused and get more done than we would otherwise.

TODAY IS AN IMPORTANT DEADLINE!

InFocus Photo Exhibit & Awards

Regular Deadline TODAY, Monday, October 21!

THE THEME OF INFOCUS 2020 IS “CHANGE.”

It’s fitting that today – October 21, 2019 – is the Federal Election in Canada AND the InFocus Photo Exhibit theme is CHANGE (Plus, TODAY IS OUR REGULAR DEADLINE!!).

If you’re a Canadian reading this, I hope you got out to the poles today or during early voting to have your say in the government. It’s a powerful act. I voted earlier today and had fun bringing along my three-year-old son. We’ve got to teach them young!

Did you vote?

The American election is also close at hand…

Our world is changing – and not just our governments.

This is why I believe that the InFocus Photo Exhibit theme – CHANGE – is so timely.

As Curator, I am asking photographers to contemplate CHANGE.

The photographers selected for InFocus 2020 will display photographs that speak to these ideas:

1. How has photography developed as a creative and documentary medium?

2. How has our world evolved?

3. How have we grown as people?

4. In what ways have we transformed as individuals?

5. What does ‘metamorphosis’ mean to you?

6. What ways are we more or less connected in 2020?

“CHANGE” is an abstract theme that speaks to all subject matters and styles, including fine art, portraiture, nature, urban landscapes, editorial, commercial, conceptual, documentary, journalistic, social commentary, architectural, still life, wildlife, travel, multi-medium, three dimensional, and beyond.

TELL US: HOW DOES YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY DEMONSTRATES “CHANGE”.

Regular Deadline: OCTOBER 21, 2019
