New Paintings at the AR&S Gallery

New Alexis Marie Chute Abstract Paintings at the AR&S Gallery at the Art Gallery of Alberta

I have 5 new colourful abstract paintings at the AR&S Gallery at the Art Gallery of Alberta. Up to a few weeks ago, all my art they had in stock was either sold or rented. The painting series they represent are bold, colourful and energetic. I’m looking forward to my new work, created in 2015, finding happy homes in professional and private locations.

Here are the new paintings:

“Show no mercy in the name of art.”

The idea is to bid a lot and often and compete with other art lovers for prized artwork. All the proceeds go towards funding the educational programs and exhibitions at the gallery.

Exciting Updates: Unfulfilled Precognition exhibits, sales & book!

My fine art photographic series, Unfulfilled Precognition, is drumming up lots of exciting news lately.

Artist Alexis Marie Chute Kit and Ace Photo Art The Wall 004

1.    My photograph entitled Walk to Remember was sold to a lovely and inspiring couple, Nick & Kacey Keyko. The image was on exhibit at Kit and Ace for the past three months in the Whyte Avenue store’s gallery space called The Wall.

2.    I will be having a solo exhibition of Unfulfilled Precognition in Scottsdale Arizona at Method Art Gallery, who represent my work in the region. Dates TBD.

3.    One of my current projects is designing a photography book from this series. It will also feature my creative non-fiction writing in a sweet blend of genres. Stay tuned in the next six months for further updates. It will be awesome – that’s all I can say for now.

Walk to Remember Photograph from Unfulfilled Precognition finds Happy Home

It has been a privilege to have one of my photographs, “Walk to Remember,” displayed for the last two months at Kit & Ace on Whyte Ave. The photograph comes from my series called Unfulfilled Precognition, which is a deeply meaningful body of work for me.

“Walk to Remember” will be displayed until January 15, 2015 so if you have not yet had a chance to see it, you still have a few weeks. After that time, the photograph will go to a good home. It was really great to meet the buyer of “Walk to Remember” at the Kit & Ace Edmonton launch party. I was mingling and was introduced to a gentleman and we were talking. Then he repeated my name in one of those funny moments: “Oh wait, are you Alexis Marie Chute? I bought your photograph!”

Here are some images from the launch party, courtesy of Vivid Ribbon Photography and Design.

Art at Kit & Ace Edmonton

I am so proud to be one of the first artists featured in the brand new Kit & Ace clothing store on Whyte Avenue in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. My image, “Walk to Remember” was handpicked by Kit & Ace and greeted customers as the store officially opened its doors early this November. Rumor has it there is already in an interested buyer.

Kit & Ace are not only about clothing; they actually seek out and spur on community involvement, especially among the artsy. Kudos to them!

My fine art photograph featured at Kit & Ace comes from the series, “Unfulfilled Precognition,” which is an artistic documentary on personal hardship and resiliency. Click here to see more images from “Unfulfilled Precognition.”

“Walk to Remember” will live in the store until early 2015. If you visit Kit & Ace, snap a selfie with my art and I’ll share it on Twitter (@_Alexis_Marie) and Facebook.

Method Art Gallery representing Alexis Marie in Scottsdale, AZ

My latest three photographs represented by Method Art now grace the walls of their gallery. Have you ever been to Method Art? The gallery is in the heart of Old Scottsdale, Arizona on the ‘Gallery Walk’ district. The area buzzes with activity, gallery shows, tasty restaurants and boutiques. The staff at Method Art blow me away with their friendliness – they are not the snooty, off-putting types. If you are in the area, they are absolutely worth a visit.

My relationship with Method Art began when I won first prize in their “The Ultimate Composition” photography competition and, shall I say, the rest is history.
